  I'm so happy the owner chose to update his concept from Croissant Gourmet - which is a huge hit in Winter Park - to Tartine in College Park. It's a much better fit for this neighborhood.
  
  Tartine is almost like two different restaurants. During the day they offer salads, soups, sandwiches and tartines (think open faced sandwich). And, at night they're offerings change. One night we came and they had spectacular fried chicken.
  
  Today I came in for lunch and I had the champignon (mushroom) tartine and it was an utter show stopper. Six stars. The layers of flavors are: crusty, fresh French bread, roasted mushrooms/cheese, pickled hot peppers and topped with fried kale. The combination is a work of art.
  
  We also had a house salad with chicken added and it was so good! The chicken was moist and tasty.
  
  We finished our meal with two espressos and a biscotti. Superb!

  This place is absolutely exceptional! The staff was very friendly and kind. Food was simply phenomenal, especially the escargots. My wife and I have been 3 times and we continue to go back! It never gets old! :)
