We pulled our child out just a few days into the school year. What no one tells you is that this institution is run like a military school for autistic children (a concept that is an oxymoron of its own). Also - please beware - their most recent reviews are fake! Parents of specials needs children - I implore you - please beware of this institution- it is a really terrible place for autistic children and anyone - anyone who tells you otherwise is lying!

What broke the camel's back for us was that one day we picked our son up from school and he was limping. We were informed that he must have "rolled his foot" while exercising. Upon getting him home, we removed his shoes and found out the foot he was limping on was extremely swollen. Upon getting the swelling down, we noticed severe bruising over his foot. We took him to see a doctor, who ordered x-rays. It turns out our son had three broken bones in his foot.

I really did not want to believe this could have happened at school, but there was no other explanation. Our son went to school fine, walking upright, and came home limping. To make matters worse, he was made to endure an entire day at school limping. Then, upon finding out what was wrong with our son, no one at the school seemed to remember how it happened. Away went the story of him "rolling his foot" and mum became the word - no one knew how or when it could have happened, no apologies, no courtesy, no apathy...Just everyone playing the quiet game to not get sued for their negligence.

Child services is now involved, and still no one has to date accepted any responsibility or admitted negligence that ended up with our son wearing a cast for a month. We pulled him out and he's made a full recovery (physically) at a new school, but the emotional and mental damage is done. The mere mention of this school nearly sets our son into a frenzy of paranoia.

Parents - be careful with your autistic children - especially when it comes to this institution. They withhold information to save their "reputation" and obviously have a hard time accepting responsibility for wrong doing, even if it means exploiting a special needs child. Be especially careful with some of the male staff - to this day our son mentions them and bad stuff they did to him. We're lucky he's verbal enough to identify them - something I doubt they've encountered in the past. The school is supposed to follow Christian Values, but judging from what was done to our son, and the way the entire situation was handled, there is nothing Christian about Paragon...
